Final Days of PEAK
May 26th is the final day of PEAK. Students wishing to attend this day must participate and complete one of two grueling workouts in May (Super Seven or Barbarian workout). Questions? Email Mr. Pertuit.
Congratulations to Track Team
Congratulations to our Arrowhead Track Team, they won the competition at Colton field and took home the traveling trophy for the rest of the year. Way to go!
Summer went fast and with a new school year comes a new year of PEAK. For those of you new to Arrowhead or PEAK please see below for more details. Permission slips will be sent home soon.
WHAT: Free after school physical activity, games, and sports program
WHEN: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3:00 - 3:55 pm (Please pick students up BEFORE 4:05).
WHERE: Arrowhead Elementary Gym (some tournaments held off site)
WHO: All 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders (NOTE: 3rd graders must go home after school - or to CARE - and return at 3:00. No waiting around the school, unless they are enrolled in CARE. Sorry, I know this is inconvenient for some but it is the protocol we MUST follow).
WHY: Why not is a better question! Frequent physical activity creates healthier bodies, more focused minds, and promotes positive social interaction.
Students can attend any or all days they want. Mondays and Wednesdays are mostly physical activity and games. Fridays are reserved specifically for sports. Sports run along the approximate schedule:
September - Cross Country
October - November - Flag Football
November - December - Dodge Ball
December - February - Handball
March - April - Track
No experience is needed for ANY sport. PEAK promotes positive sportsmanship, basic sports skills, and cooperative teamwork. Each sports season includes one or more "tournaments" against other local schools.
I hope to see EVERY student who can make it. Let's have a great year!
